At the OSG Committee meeting in July it was decided that we should provide an update on Committee Members and Vice Presidents. Vice Presidents are people who are held in honour by the OSG because of past service and continuing allegiance to the group. The committee members are the people who, with the officers listed on the back page of the newsletter, meet during synods and communicate between synod meetings to organise the activities of the OSG. Our President is currently The Rt Revd John Packer, Bishop of Ripon & Leeds. A full list is provided below. Please contact any of us with suggestions for improving the Open Synod Group.
Committee Members and a couple of Vice Presidents who are still very active with the OSG committee were invited to introduce themselves by providing an item either about themselves and/or about some church or synod-related issue that they are passionate about. The items received from several members fill the remainder of this issue. They reveal a very varied, talented and fascinating bunch of people who are sufficiently attracted to the OSG to give freely of their time and talents to sustain our functioning.
