Congratulations and our very best wishes and prayers are due for Brian McHenry who after a distinguished synodical career has taken early retirement from his post as a government lawyer and trained for the priesthood.
Brian was ordained deacon at Holy Trinity, Eltham on September 28th, by Christopher, Bishop of Woolwich. He had been a Reader for many years. As well as this Brian had held many positions of responsibility in the Genral Synod, including that of Vice Chair of the House of Laity and an officer and committee member of OSG. We miss his presence at Synod and his clear analytical brain but realise that he has now been called to a different kind of ministry for which we give thanks and assure him of our prayers.
