We offer you our final newsletter of this quinquennium and trust that it fulfils our aim to present issues that are germane to our life both nationally and in the local scene.
At present we are busy preparing the Revue, which is not an OSG event but one where the whole Synod is invited to take part either as audience or performer. It is good that we can relax once in five years and perhaps laugh at ourselves. This should avoid the temptation to take ourselves too seriously! What we discuss in synod is serious but we need to remember that we are all here by the grace of God and be suitably aware of that.
Friendships have been grown during the five years between people of differing and similar views and that is where synod is so valuable. May we all take back to our dioceses and parishes the message that we need to march forward together and to resolve our differences in a spirit of love and fellowship. As our Lord told us: "love your neighbour as you love yourself‟.
