UNITY * RENEWAL * MISSION

'The objects of the Group are the promotion and advancement of the Christian religion in accordance with Anglican principles and practices with particular emphasis on the growth of unity between all the Churches and on the renewal of the life and organisation of the Church of England in order to facilitate and strengthen the mission of the Christian Church to the people of England.'

Unity
Unity means listening to the views of others, seeking the truth that lies within every point of view, working for tolerance and understanding, seeking closer working relationships, encouraging dialogue and building bridges where there are divisions so that we become one Church under God.

Renewal
Renewal means valuing the traditions that have made us what we are, responding to a changing world, searching for new insights into Christian truth, and working for a Church which is open to new understandings and new directions through the activity of the Holy Spirit.

Mission
Mission means preaching the Gospel, deepening faith in people, responding to human need, struggling for justice, and caring for the environment. It means seeking the word of God for a broken and divided world and responding by witness, in service and with justice.
